SPATIAL SYNOPSIS
ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT & TECTONICS
A multi-generational residence organized around interlocking open-to-sky courtyards that draw sea breezes through perforated brick screens. The project explores the traditional South Indian Thinnai and Mutram typology reimagined with cast-in-situ concrete slabs, recycled Athangudi floor tiles, and deep verandahs that buffer the tropical Chennai heat.
